Shelbourne ended a run of five league games without a win after a hard fought game in Waterford saw them eventually win out 4-2.
Glen Crowe has finally shown signs of reaching top form and following his double in the League Cup he added another tonight and set up Shelbourne's fourth.
Despite all their current worries, Waterford took the lead after just 12 minutes when Stephen Yelverton hit a wonderful goal. He volleyed home a cracking drive past Dean Delaney as he struck the ball first time as a corner kick fell into his path.
The lead lasted only a minute as Crowe was played in by a Jason Byrne flick-on from Jim Crawford's long ball. Crowe lobbed the ball over Packie Holden and found the back of the net via a post.
Stuart Byrne, moved to central defence tonight, put Shels ahead after 26 minutes. He headed in powerfully from Dave Crawley's corner kick.
Yelverton struck his second of the night to level for Waterford on 57 minutes, another good strike as Colm Heffernan's cross found its way through to him.
Again though, Shels responded quickly and Owen Heary bundled the ball home on 66 minutes as Waterford failed to clear another Crawley set-piece.
The final minute saw Shels wrap up the win and Crowe show an edge that has been missing this season. As the home defence waited for the ball to go out of play, Crowe nipped in and played the ball back across to Glen Fitzpatrick who cooly slotted home a fourth and wrapped up a much needed win.
