A second half comeback saw eircom League new-boys Wexford Youths fightback to earn a 2-2 draw away to Monaghan United in the First Division of the eircom League on Friday night.

Kevin Williamson had volleyed Monaghan in front just before the half-hour at Kingspan Century Park. Just five minutes later Robbie Farrell doubled the home side's advantage with a close range header.

Just when it appeared that Mick Wallace's new club were set for a harsh lesson on their first outing, Conor Sinnott curled home a 52nd minute free kick to raise some hope.

Anto Russell forced the ball home just three minutes later and ultimately ended the scoring at 2-2.
