Mark Quigley scored three times in the opening ten minutes for Saint Patrick's Athletic in tonight's eircom League Premier Division game at Richmond Park Inchicore. Quigley's hat-trick - scored within a five minute period - ended Bray Wanderers' hopes even before the game got going.

Quigley opened the scoring after four minutes when he fired home after Gary O'Neill's build-up play. He struck his second just over one minute later after John Frosts' cross set him up to fire home from long range.

A superb lob wrapped up the hat-trick in the ninth minute to leave Bray stunned and it could have been much worse but for a fine performance from goalkeeper Steve Williams who denied Quigley at least two more.

Frost earned himself a red card after rashly getting booked twice in a five minute spell before the hour, taking a little of the shine off the Saints performance. Frost's second booking coming after a foul on Derek Tyrell.

Alan Cawley fired home a consolation goal in the closing 15 minutes. Cawley's free kick found the net as the Seagulls pushed forward for something from the game.

The result leaves the Saints still top with the only perfect record in the Premier Division - four wins from four games. Quigley's treble marks the first scored by a Saints player in the league since Ian Gilzean scored three in Sligo in October 1997.
