The Showgrounds
Sligo Rovers continue to make light of having no permanent manager. The Bit O' Red secured a late winner to beat UCD at the Showgrounds today, moving third in the Premier Division of the eircom League with their third win in four games.
Fahrudin Kudozovic struck the only goal of the game in stoppage time to beat the College. Piotr Bajzdiak played Kudozovic through in the first minute of stoppage time and the Rovers man slotted past UCD keeper Matt Gregg.
Shane McFaul had almost fired UCD in front just before half time as his drilled shot beat the dive of goalkeeper Richard Brush but rebounded back off the crossbar.
Stephen Manson forced a good save from Gregg shortly after the break before McFaul got back to make a goal-line clearance from Jason McCartney.
Alan Mahon almost fired the visitors in front on 70 minutes but his low free kick came back off the Sligo post.
In stoppage time Kudozovic struck his second winner in as many games to leave Sligo within three points of leaders Saint Patrick's Athletic.
