Mark Quigley's first half goal was enough to give Saint Patrick's Athletic their fifth straight win on their perfect start to the League of Ireland season. They defeated Galway United 1-0 at Terryland Park, Galway tonight.
Stephen Paisley and Gary O'Neill combined to set up the chance as Quigley slotted home just before the half hour as he got in on the end of strike partner O'Neill's cross.
Saints keeper Barry Ryan had to be on his toes to save from Barry Moran while John Lester might have done better as he headed over the bar.
Stephen O'Flynn and Lester again both went close with rasping shots in the dying moments but the Tribesmen couldn't find a leveler against the league leaders.
