Limerick 37 1

Davy Wall 46

Whitehall

Shelbourne and Limerick 37 played out a 1-1 draw in the First Division of the eircom League of Ireland at Whitehall tonight. The result has little impact on the table, although Limerick do at least temporarily climb ahead of Cobh on goal-difference to second.

Limerick shaded the first half although couldn't create much in the way of clear-cut chances.

Dave Wall fired Limerick in front just one minute into the second period as he ran in to slot home after Padraig Moran's shot had been pushed back out by Tony O'Dowd.

Shelbourne equalised just after the hour though when Kyle Moran slotted home as he got in on the end of James Chambers' cross.

Neither side could get the extra goal to win it and even at this stage of the season, a point is of little use to either side.

Shelbourne : O'Dowd, Murphy, Ryan, Collins, Brophy, Chambers, Harte, Gartland, McEniff (Lacey 46), Leech (McKenna 57), Moran.
Limerick 37 : Fyffe, Keady, Buckley, Finnucane, Purcell, Hayes, Maloney, Wall (Molan 69), Waters, Goldbey (Cosgrave 69), Moran.
