Andrei Georgescu struck shortly after half-time to give Bray Wanderers a share of the points on their visit to Longford Town in the Premier Division of the eircom League tonight.
David Freeman had fired Longford ahead on the half hour in the battle of two of the bottom three sides. The draw does however now lift Bray back ahead of Galway United.
A lifeless game saw Longford go in front after thirty minutes when Freeman slotted home after the Martin brothers had combined. John Martin set up and although Robbie Martin fired against the post, Freeman was on hand to convert from close range.
Georgescu, whose omission in recent weeks has been a talking point amongst fans, levelled the match up just two minutes into the second period.
The young Bray striker chased in on the end of Alan Cawley's free kick and pounced as the Longford defence dawdled, forcing the ball past Longford keeper Shay Kelly to make it 1-1.
Both sides had chances to win it in the latter stages but ultimately a draw was the outcome.
