Tolka Park

Glen Crowe scored twice as Bohemians ran out 2-0 winners against Shelbourne at Tolka Park in the second round of the eircom League of Ireland Cup tonight.

Playing against the side he represented for the last couple of seasons, Crowe broke the deadlock just before the hour and made it 2-0 in the 80th minute.

Crowe opened the scoring as he headed in from John Paul Kelly's cross and he might have had another if not for a fine save from Tony O'Dowd.

Crowe's second also came via a header as he connected with Owen Heary's cross.

Bohs fielded an almost full strength side with goalkeeper Lee Boyle coming in for the only real change. He did well when Shels did create chances to preserve his first clean sheet.

Shelbourne : O'Dowd, O'Reilly (McKenna 59), Brophy, Collins, Ryan, Moran, Chambers, Murphy, Harte, McEniff, Leech.
Bohemians : Boyle, O Heary, McGuinness, Burns, Powell, Hunt, T Heary, Kingsberry (Rice 72), Fenn (Kelly 53), Mansaram (Mooney 86), Crowe.
