Cobh Ramblers continued their recent good run of form as they eliminated Premier Division Waterford United in the second round of the eircom League of Ireland Cup at Saint Colman's Park tonight.

Graham Cummins netted his fourth goal of the season to put Cobh ahead after 41 minutes.

A foul by Kenny Browne on Kieran O'Reilly gave Cobh a 61st minute penalty which Alan Carey duly dispatched to make it 2-0.

An 80th minute penalty from Vinny Sullivan proved little more than a consolation for the visitors.
