Third and second respectively going into Friday night's eircom League First Division game at Jackman Park, Limerick 37 and Cobh Ramblers played out a scoreless draw.
A last ditch tackle by Brian Buckley averted the danger from Cobh's Graham Cummins in the early going.
Dave Ryan in the Limerick goal made a couple of good stops to deny Gareth Cambridge and Mike O'Shea.
However, late in the game Dave Goldbey almost snatched all three points for the home side but saw his diving header saved by Cobh keeper James McCarthy.
