UCD eased into the third round of the FAI Cup this evening with a 4-0 win over Galway side Salthill Devon in Drom. Three first half goals set the College up for a straightforward win before Conan Byrne added his second of the game in the dying moments.
Conor Sammon opened the scoring midway through the first period after a flowing UCD move.
Derek Doyle made it 2-0 on 38 minutes as he slammed home a volley on 38 minutes. Conan Byrne finished well after a mazy run through the home defence just moments later.
Salthill rarely threatened any form of a fightback and Byrne grabbed his second of the game right at the end to wrap up a comfortable win.
