Finn Harps won 4-2 on penalties
Finn Park
Goalkeeper James Gallagher was the hero as Finn Harps advanced to the third round of this season's FAI Cup. Harps beat Galway 4-2 on penalties after 120 minutes failed to produce a goal in the replay at Finn Park.
Either side had chances to win the game in the regulation ninety minutes but Seamus Brown failed to convert for the home side while Gallagher saved excellently from John Lester at the other end.
The Harps keeper did well again in extra-time to preserve his clean-sheet and send the game to spot kicks.
Harps scored four of their five in the shoot-out while Gallagher saved penalties from Lester and Ciaran Foley to earn the County Donegal side a place in the last sixteen.
