Mark Leech's goal fifteen minutes from the end gave a new look Shelbourne a 1-0 win over Wexford Youths at Tolka Park on Friday night, lifting the Dublin club up to seventh in the First Division of the League of Ireland.

Shels had an early let off when Kieran Harte almost sliced into his net in the opening seconds.

The game was still scrappy as the final twenty minutes arrived but both Lee Roche and Anthony Flood went close to opening the scoring.

The winner arrived on 75 minutes as Leech rose to head home from Marc McCullough's cross.
