Limerick 37 0

Cobh Ramblers 0

Jackman Park

Referee : Tom Connolly

Cobh Ramblers extended their unbeaten league run to twenty-six games but had to settle for a draw on Friday night as they game with Limerick 37 at Jackman Park ended scoreless.

Limerick held on despite some intense pressure to secure a draw against the League of Ireland First Division leaders.

Shane Barrett went close for Cobh shortly before half-time but he didn't play much further role in the game. The Cobh man was sent off on 52 minutes after a clash with Limerick's Tommy Barrett.

Limerick too had chances with Kevin Waters narrowly missing an attempted lob just after half-time.

Davin O'Neill might have snatched the lead for Cobh just before the hour but fired his close range volley straight at Lims keeper Jimmy Fyffe.

Limerick were on top in the closing minutes - thanks mainly to their numerical advantage - but couldn't grab the goal that would end Cobh's unbeaten run.

Limerick 37 : Fyffe, Whyte, Molan, Finucane, Purcell, Hayes, Colbert (Cosgrave 67), Barrett, Kelleher (Danagher 79), Waters, Moran (Tierney 60).
Cobh Ramblers : McCarthy, Carew, Meade, Murray, Guthrie, Barrett, O'Neill, Kearney, Cummins (King 85), Mulconry (O'Reilly 79), Cambridge (O'Shea 73).
