Bohemians will look to lift themselves from Tuesday night's League Cup Final loss to Derry City as they prepare to face a Galway United side still on a high from last week's important win over Longford Town.
Not only did Bohs experience the lows of losing a cup final on Tuesday night but they also had to play through two hours of football on a long trip north. They must pick themselves up quickly to resume their hunt for a European or Setanta place through the Premier Division.
Galway in contrast recorded a much needed win when they came from behind to beat relegation rivals Longford last Friday. The result gave Galway a nine point cushion on the bottom side and left four points between themselves and play-off occupants Waterford United.
Galway have only lost three league games away from Terryland Park this year (that's half as many as Bohs have suffered).
Bohs have still only suffered that one home league loss - to Shamrock Rovers just under one month ago.
The sides drew 1-1 at Dalymount Park when they met earlier in the year and Bohs secured a 1-0 win when they ventured west in May.
Bohs boss Sean Connor expects his side to put the Derry defeat behind them as quickly as possible, "It's going to be a difficult game for the players after Tuesday night but we have to move on and concentrate on this match. The league has always been our main priority and we can't afford to feel sorry for ourselves".
Galway manager Tony Cousins is hopeful his side can claim something from the game, "This is another hard game and hopefully we can get something from it. We will go there with a near full strength squad and hopefully we can come away with something. As I said before, every game is a cup final for us and we will be ready for it."
Dessie Byrne begins a two game ban with Thomas Heary still out injured.
Mark Rossiter and Chris Turner are available again having missed the Derry game.
Darren Mansaram is a doubt having hobbled off at the Brandywell.
Neale Fenn stands by to deputize while Harpal Singh is also in contention after appearing on the Bohs bench on Tuesday night.
Stephen O'Flynn and Regi Nooitmeer are set to return after suspensions ruled them out last weekend.
Daryl Robson remains a doubt but could return after a troublesome ankle problem.
